Patricia Petibon brings her infectious imagination to bear on every stage performance, be it an opera or a recital, and has the unique talent of arousing a very wide range of emotions and exploiting the theatricality of her chosen repertoire. Her virtuosity and ability to span a wide array of registers mean that she can constantly explore a huge repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary music. Spurred on by a tireless appetite for new works, she has found in Jean-Sébastien Bou and Olivier Py her favourite partners to accompany her in stage performances that are fully of energy, with an occasional hint of quirkiness. Together, they form a trio of entertaining and poetic artists, whose onstage chemistry is absolutely irresistible in this deliciously piquant programme of operetta arias and songs.
