The three different worlds of Chopin, Rachmaninov, and Bach showcase Kit Armstrong’s broad artistic piano palette.

    Chopin  12 Etudes Op. 25
Rachmaninoff  Sonata No. 2 Op. 36
Bach  Partita No. 6 BWV 830

As a pianist who combines extraordinary talent with astonishing naturalness, and as a composer, mathematician and heir to Alfred Brendel, Kit Armstrong masters a huge repertoire spanning several centuries of music from the early Virginalist school to contemporary music. He tackles every work with intense gusto, and tonight he is presenting a truly virtuoso programme combining Chopin’s Etudes Opus 25 and Rachmaninov’s Sonata No. 2, before rounding off with Bach’s crispest partita: No. 6.
