Young audience workshops Pizzicati et compagnie : le quatuor à cordes (7-10 years old)

Roger Muraro is not usually associated with Domenico Scarlatti, but he will bewitch us with Scarlatti’s brief but heady Allegro, before returning to more familiar territory. Muraro, a student of husband and wife duo Messiaen and Loriod, discovered Scriabin at the age of 23 with Sonata No. 4. He wanted to deepen his understanding of the composer in order to appreciate his “madness” and music. Muraro delivers his findings in a performance of Fantasy opus 28 (1900), whose chromaticism heralds the Divine Poem. However, the morning will be devoted mainly to his exploration of Chopin’s 24 Preludes in which, according to Liszt, “everything seems to be the first draft, in a single burst, and on the spur of the moment”. However, this performer leaves nothing to chance.
