UNSTILL LIFE
Musics from Bach, Rameau, Beethoven, Schubert, Ravel…
“As a child, I wanted to be a dancer and was irresistibly drawn to the Opéra de Paris, while Benjamin dreamed of being a pianist, before becoming the superb dancer and choreographer we now know. I wasn’t gifted enough to pursue ballet. The piano welcomed me with open arms. Benjamin and I met a few years later at the Place des Vosges in Paris. On that day, the seed of an idea formed of a residency at the Opéra, where I would give concerts and get involved in several ballets inspired by piano repertoire. A while later, our paths have now crossed again on a more intimate project, bringing our two skillsets together. The whole of Benjamin’s art is very closely linked to music, and I think I can say that my technique would not be what it is without those years spent at the barre as a child, the physical discipline, and my passion for dance which was constantly refreshed.”
