Mozart, Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini Arias, duets and trios excerpts from Don Giovanni, Le Nozze di Figaro, Così fan tutte, Semiramis, Maria Stuarda, Norma
Three exceptional artists together on stage for what promises to be a memorable evening: a colourful gala dedicated to Mozart, Rossini, Bellini and Donizetti, whose operas treat vocality in the most agile, playful and virtuosic manner. To pay tribute to their highly theatrical music, with its lavishly opulent aesthetics that form the foundation of the operatic repertoire, voices of great natural versatility and uncompromising precision are called upon. This is exactly how we can define the voice of Rachel Willis-Sørensen, a soprano with a luminous timbre who won the Operalia competition in 2014; that of Karine Deshayes also, a mezzo-soprano who is particularly appreciated in this repertoire (let us mention for example Mozart's Cosi fan tutte, Rossini's La Cenerentola, Donizetti's Maria Stuarda and Roberto Devereux). Finally, Erwin Schrott's fame speaks for itself: the bass-baritone has now established himself as the benchmark performer of Don Giovanni all over the world.
