The time is now long past when the name Vivaldi was associated with only one of his instrumental pieces, the famous The Four Seasons concerto. Since the middle of the 20th century, and thanks in particular to the ambitious venture of the Naïve Vivaldi edition, a little more is known about his lyrical production, even if we also know that a small part of his catalogue has come down to us. But this already allows us to appreciate the incredible richness where dramatic intensity competes with musical beauty. This evening will be an opportunity to hear again some of his most poignant or flamboyant operas performed by one of his princes, Philippe Jaroussky, here in good company.
