Alexandra Dovgan | piano

Talent doesn't wait for people to first grow old and the very young Alexandra Dovgan has already proved it.

Bach Partita BWV 826
Schumann Waldszenen Op. 82
Chopin Andante Spianato & Grande Polonaise brillante Op. 22

You can't be serious when you're 17. But aged 13? One year after her first recital on Avenue Montaigne, Alexandra Dovgan once again takes the stage at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. She comes in good company once again: J.-S. Bach, Schumann, Chopin. Three boys who, at the girl's tender age, were not yet as mature as Grigory Sokolov - just that! - compares to that of his adult colleagues. However, she can still take advantage of a childlike imagination, which is a significant asset to bring us up to date with the poetic universe of the Forest Scenes, the little sisters of the Kinderszenen. Her virtuoso musicality also bodes well for an unforgettable foray into Polish music. Did you say "prodigy"? Better: an artist, quite simply.
