Mendelssohn Symphony No. 4 « Italian »
A Midsummer Night's Dream

Who has never heard the Overture to A Midsummer Night's Dream, one of the most exciting pieces in the repertoire? But the Orchestre National de France goes further: here he gives us the complete music written by Mendelssohn to accompany Shakespeare's play, which includes famous moments such as the Wedding March, and a set of musical marvels written for two female voices and a choir. The actor and managing director of the Comédie-Française, Eric Ruf, will unravel the plot of Shakespeare's irresistible comedy. Prior to this, the Orchestre National de France shall perform the Italian, the most famous and spirited of Mendelssohn's symphonies.
