They will revisit this monumental corpus this season in a series of six Sunday concerts. In the fifth instalment, the musicians pursue their exploration of opus 18 and opus 59, whose modernity was underlined in the previous concert, and this morning they tackle the pinnacle of this cycle, Beethoven’s final quartets with the First Quartet from opus 127 in E flat major.
