Jin Xing, is a true pioneer; as a dancer, choreographer and founder of her own company, she has succeeded in bridging the East-West divide by inviting several western choreographers to create works for the company. For these two performances in early March, the company will perform the second ballet written for it by Dutch choreographer Arthur Kuggeleyn. Wild Flowers, which was premiered in 2018, immerses us in the world of flowers, treated in an emotional and psychedelic style. Each dancer interprets a wild flower in dances characterized by energy and freedom of movement, either solo or as part of a ‘bouquet’, to combat the natural elements and ultimately bloom. A powerful message in today’s world which is sure to move audiences.
