Galliano  Tango pour Claude

Moving from the accordion dance music of his native Auvergne region to the gilded splendour of the avenue Montaigne theatre via the studios of France Musique, Félicien Brut has established the credentials of his working-class instrument, the accordion. As a solo performer or accompanied by the String Orchestra of the French Republican Guard, he offers us a richly coloured programme prominently featuring, of course, his friend Galliano and the renowned Piazzolla. In a transition from grand piano to piano accordion we will hear a transcription of a virtuoso “hit” by Franz Liszt. Another highlight of the morning will be the premier of a concerto by Thibault Perrine, taking its title from the motto of the city of Paris, which the virtuoso celebrated on his last album.
