Bach Complete Suites for solo cello

We are already familiar with his talents as a frequent chamber player on avenue Montaigne, notably with David Kadouch, Sunwook Kim, and with Nelson Goerner in a few days’ time. Here, he is going solo and is about to scale the peak that is all six Suites for solo cello by Bach. Right up until the twentieth century, cello suites by Bach were viewed as exercises by cellists and were rarely ever performed in concert. Pablo Casals was the first cellist to play them systematically in concerts and to record them all. In this way, he established the credentials of the cello as a solo and recital instrument. Ever since then, the top names have given them their own personal spin. Now it is the turn of Edgar Moreau, who at just thirty years of age has a multi-award-winning career under his belt. This will be a highly personal and passionate approach.
